You see, I have learned a thing or two about people.
One. When you do good, it is always because of you, yourself, and yours truly.
Two. When you screw up (or, for lack of better words – make a mess of things), it is usually always because of somebody else and never ever 100 percent your own doing.
Today, I fell victim to one of the two and started justifying why I did what I did despite knowing the outcome. I stopped short and wondered why did I have to bother.
After all, people don’t care about the who and the why.
All they care about, at the end of the day, is themselves.
You and I are not so different.
